Tapiola is not
a city central of bling ring, still, not a bad idea if visiting Bada Bing! Interestingly,
Bada Bing! is a
fictional strip club from HBO TV drama The Sopranos; it is a key
location for events in the series, named for catchphrase ‘bada bing’, a phrase
popularized by James Caan in The Godfather.
On 27 of July, Bada Bing! hosts ‘Grand
Opening Party’, cloakroom fee 3e, entrance fee none, life performance is
Finnish actor/singer Reino Nordin, a very good reason to spend some night life
at. Around 4 macho but friendly body guards at door, never bothering checking
our IDs; bar tenders are around 20s and wearing checked long sleeves-shirts,
quickly serving our drinks: apple cider, Corona and Carlsberg. The deco of Bada
Bing! is very much 90’s Americanized style: a pool table, a Warner bunny
Pinball, flannel long sofa, wooden round stools, ah, and a Canadian national
flag at DJ booth.
DJs are
experimental on mixing Beyoncé’s
hits and 70’s pops; out of my surprise, Ray Charles’ ‘Hit the Road Jack’ is also
jingling, moving me to the dance floor a little bit. While DJs have some
difficulties to provoke goers to shake their bum bum, luckily, Reino Nordin’s Reggae
and samba music gathers quite some young girls back, but unfortunately, it’s
about time to say: Bada Bing, have a good night…....zzzzz!
