La mejor es la revista local, como mi opinion; porque es un raro ejemplo lingüístico para entender una determinada cultura; por lo tanto, ELLE ESPAÑA Febrero 2022 es mi elección por el viaje de Gran Canaria.

Cuisine Crush Gran Ganaria! Las Frutas, Vino Sangría y La Coneja a La Parrilla en Gran Canaria

¿Á dónde comemos en Gran Canaria? In Spain we shall try the most exotic fruits and food. Never a red wine connaisseuse but forever the sangría addictive, there is no doubt I would miss this great opportunity to savor various as possible during our stay. Upon the arrival it is after 20h00 when we finish the check-in, luckily the walking distance to La Playa de Canteras only take less than 100 meters away from Calle Tomás Miller; therefore, Madre Del Amor Hermoso serves us the best sangria experience ever. 

MADRE DEL AMOR HERMOSO 

With the tropical theme of interior design, the furniture at MADRE DEL AMOR HERMOSO  owns colonial style mixed with Central American touch. The mister waiter indeed provides us a lot of linguistic fun time since he passionately asks ‘Espanõl? Inglés?’, while he could only comments ‘You know, we have el pescado del día, servido con salsa de champiñones y verduras a la plancha, very very good, y tenemos un montón de bebidas para elegir….’ My main dish selection finalize with grilled rabbit served with potatoes and carrots and a 500ml cup of sangria. 

How to personalize homemade sangría? Here are the steps to enjoy with family and friends:

Preparations: 

1. Spanish Red Wine: There is no need to splurge on an expensive bottle, while Rioja wine is the popular choice, which typically features garnacha or tempranillo grapes. 

2. Brandy: It’s also a free choice to sub in cognac or orange liqueur instead. 

3. Fresh chopped fruit: The standard three fruits you encounter most often in Spain are oranges, lemons and green apples, we also taste there are kiwi fruits, blue berries or strawberries style of sangria.  

4. Sugar, brown sugar, maple syrup or honey for a natural alternative, and sparkling water, in alternative replacement with light soda, Sprite, La Casera or ginger ale.  

Savoir-Faire

1.     Chop the fruit into cube sizes, combine the diced fruit, wine, brandy, the juice of one orange, and a cinnamon stick together in a large pitcher. Feel free to add sugar or honey in a tablespoon. 

2.     Cover and refrigerate: Pop the pitcher in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours before serving, 

3.     Serve: Serve the sangría over ice, topping off each glass with a splash of bubbly soda/ sparkling water if desired!

RESTAURANTE MARTEL HOUSE 

Before walking toward to Dunas de Maspalomas, I devour yet another grilled rabbit at RESTAURANTE MARTEL HOUSE, where the waiters and chef are very friendly and funny, welcoming us as if we were the closed cousins, keeping their curiosity if we are datable. Comparing to the dish from MADRE DEL AMOR HERMOSO, MARTEL HOUSE provides more of taste of camping game: deep fried French fries, stewed seasonal vegetables, freshly made coleslaw,and slightly burnt, intense chewy and less juicy meat. The rabbit leg can be tasted in similarity with chicken breasts, while those I live on and off during our stay in Gran Canaria, owing a taste of wilderness, that the odor is carrying the grassy highland with rather dry North African wind.

Fashion Fun Gran Canaria! Zara Overall, Chanel Choker & Silk Twilly On Day of Dune

Dunas de Maspalomas, Gran Canaria 

DUNAS DE MASPALOMAS are sand dunes located on the south-eastern coast of Gran Canaria, formed by sand from the now subdued marine shelf during the last Ice Age, which, a 1,000 acre area have been protected as a nature reserve since 1987, inclusive of a fantastic long beach, a dynamic sand dune system, palm grove and a brackish lagoon. The mix of desert and oasis natural park is surrounded by the Maspalomas resorts, where quite a lot of Nordic tourists would rent an apartment hotel and enjoy several old-fashioned, cliché shopping centres in the neighbourhood. 

 

It takes us an hour road trip from Santa Catalina Bus Station to YUMBO Shopping centre. We first enjoy a lavish Spanish lunch, visit Parque Botánico de Maspalomas, and by foot toward to the Dunas de Maspalomas, the wind speed is 25m/s after 17:30 upon our arrival. 

How to wear outfits chic and comfy at windy day of dune? Due to Poema Del Mar locates at the neighbourhood of our hotel near Calle Tomás Miller, by foot for approximately 15 minute-walk we reach aquarium, located alongside the cruise harbor of Las Palmas. 

 

The tour through the aquarium is divided into three spectacular but equally exciting marine areas—Tropical Jungle, Reef Beach and Deep Ocean—these environments have recreated, with the greatest accuracy possible, the natural ecosystems of hundreds of species. After the regular check, we start off by submerging ourselves at Tropical Jungle, which reproduces images of landscapes from all over the planet, in a tribute to the five continents. Above us the pterodactyl specimen is hovering, as if we enter the park of Jurassic world. Our favourite are pig-nosed turtle, crocodile and the baobab sections, some lie still some swim effortlessly, the adventures continues via the suspension bridge.
