Merhaba Istanbul! Arriving at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport by PEGASUS AIRLINES, we are excited to discover the surprises ahead, in once the capital metropolis of Byzantine.
Adopting over 15 millions habitants, Istanbul is the most populous European city, founded as Byzantium in the 7th century BCE by Greek settlers. In 330 ADE, the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great made it his imperial capital, renaming it Nova Roma as Constantinople; gradually, the city massively expended, eventually became a beacon of the Silk Road and the only metropolis spans Europa and Asia.
The first 4 nights we stay at MESERRET PALACE HOTEL located in Fatih, a historical district to almost full of the provincial authorities, inclusive of HAGIA SOFIA , BLUE MOSQUE and GRAND BAZAAR. The numerous of restaurants and tea houses accompany our strolling from the hotel to the shore of Galata Shore, which is connected with Galata Bridge, reaches toward to Galata Tower.
In July daytime, Istanbul constantly raises up to 32 Celsius degrees, while during the evening may drop down to 20ish.
