Sleepless Seattle! Washington State’s largest city, its headquarters to Starbucks, Microsoft, Boeing and Amazon. Located in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by the ocean, mountains and evergreen forests. My second visit, still GREYHOUND the best choice to enjoy the diversity views along the Canada-USA border.
Strolling from the 6th Avenue China Town, before hitting at Pine and Pike Market and Starbucks the flagship original, feeding myself with the pacific oysters is one of the major goals for 2nd of July one-day walk tour.
Pier 56 started out as Arlington Dock in the late 1800s, built and owned by a retired ship captain, the dock was destroyed in the Great Seattle Fire of 1889. the Northern Pacific Railroad reconstructed three new piers in 1902 to capitalize on the gold rush. Not until of World War II the U.S. government renumbered all the piers, nowadays Pier 56 was originated from Pier 5.
Elliott’s Oyster House is under E3 Restaurant Group, locally owned and operated since 1951, has earned a national reputation for quality, service and being rooted in the community. Offering the wide selections of oyster and seafood from East Coast to the West, I choose between salty and sweet oysters: Chelsea Gem from Eld Inlet and Baywater Sweet plus Elliot’s Select from Hood Canal, with lemon juice and cranberry sorbet, accompanied with the horn of cruise ferry and Seattle sunshine, definitely a sleepless day in Seattle!
